New King James Version     Change Bible versions
If a person does right, people will begin to persecute him. It may, very sadly, even happen right inside the church.
Amos confirms that the first thing that occurs if we really are undergoing transformation—if we have had an encounter with God—is that we will turn to God's  truth . Our attitude will change toward God's truth. The author of Psalm 119:97  says, "O, how I  love  Your law!" He was in love with it. To him, it was so good to be able to look into God's Word. If a person loves something, what does he want to do with it? Talk about it! Share it with other people. Is that not what happens to the newly converted person? Indeed, it is. One can almost guage a person's conversion by how he loves the Word of God, for "out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks."
Amos states these truths so succinctly. All we need to d...    less

most definitely. Actually, bible prophecy itself it what started my relationship with Jesus Christ. One day i just picked up my bible and opened to revelation and prayed "god, what does this book mean, why it is so important." then after reading some of it i went, ok i need some outside help, and checked out prophecy web sites. And from there it has been an ever growing experience. Praise the Lord! He truly is amazing.

"For I say unto you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit shall never be forgiven. Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or the age to come." Matthew 12:31                                      I was wondering exactly what this verse meant in itself??

Of course, we see some of those trends repeated. Foods have a way of running in trends as well. Our relationships change. Our bodies change - that is one we do not like to think about.
Trends of all kinds seem to change. I think of what the kids are looking at right now. Last year it was the Furbie. A few months ago it was the Beanie Babies. And at this moment, it's Pokemon.
In the midst of our ever-changing world, it is a real comfort to me to know that we have a never-changing God. Malachi 3:6 says, "For I am the Lord, I do not change." Is that not a neat thought? Even though everything around us seems to change, even the very earth itself shifts in different places at times, but God says, "I never change." The word He used for "Lord" there was "Je...    less

It’s a truth that he just felt was overwhelming. In his gospel, he tells us that, “As many as received Him [that is, Jesus], to them He gave the power to become the sons of God, even to those who believe on His name. Who were born, not by the will of man, or by the will of the flesh, but born of God” (John 1:12,13). He tells us of the conversation that Jesus had with Nicodemus in which Jesus said, “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him will not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed on us.” The love of God so great, so rich, that He sent His only begotten Son in order that by your believing in Him, you might become a son of God. Adopted into the family of God and made an heir of God and a joint heir with Jesus Christ. I don’t know if we fully apprehend this truth. To apprehend it is to, with the disciples and the apostles, just sort of...    less

The great apostasy may already be fully underway, spurred by the rising tide of deception in society. With so much information available ( Daniel 12:4 )—along with so many ways to manipulate it—men find it extremely easy to deceive millions instantly. This is especially true for those who do not really believe the true source of knowledge, God and His Word. Thus, after subtle doctrinal changes, many of the brethren have fallen away.  less
